This week Apple launched its first newsletter, a daily local news email that's built into Apple News. It's a curated mix of articles from several publications that focuses on the Bay Area with plans to expand to other cities in the future.
It's yet another tech giant entering the space and competing with independent newsletters. There's a possibility that smaller publications with similar offerings could find it difficult to compete with Apple as it uses Apple News' popularity to boost the newsletter's growth.
